No need to turn the turkey over. I don’t reckon mint sauce will go well with turkey!!! If you don’t have cranberries, that’s okay….lots of people don’t like cranberries anyway.

cook the turkey breast side up and no need to turn it over.
you can eat turkey with mint sauce if you like, it may overpower the taste of the turkey.

No, you don’t turn it over. And I don’t reckon that the mint sauce will be excellent with it. Sometimes I don’t even serve cranberries or sauce with mine. Same thing for sweet potatoes (they are just side dishes anyway)

How do you cook (plot on cooking) your turkey?

There’s many ways to cook the bird… Some people recommend cooking on a v-rack breast side down and flipping half way through the cooking time.

Personally, I just cook on a v-rack breast side up.

Julia Childs recommends cooking breast side up, then rotating the bird so one side is up (left leg up) and rotating again so the other side (aptly leg up) is up and finally rotating back to breast side up. That’s way too much work in my opinion.

In regards to the mint sauce… I’d rather have just gravy.

You don’t really have to turn over a chicken or a duck either.

I cook my turkey in the slow cooker with grape jelly and barbecue sauce. Cook it on medium over night and don’t turn it. It is the most tender, juicy turkey ever and it tastes splendid!

If this is your first turkey,Make sure you get all the stuff out of the inside before you bake it. (neck and other body parts) No need to turn it and it you cook it in a baking bag, it will be moist and brown.Just butter the top, place in the terrible, cut some holes and let it cook.
