This episode was in fact Magica’s debut, the one we saw earlier with her in fact occurred much later in the series.
On a side note, Magica has to be the lamest Disney villain ever, she has magic powers and all she reckon is stealing a stupid time. Maleficient she is not.

    @AmuroRei89, Now I get it.

  • metal87power says:

@Hasselberg666, incorrect, it was worker which Scrooge cleaned shoes (as first huge job). He gave him american dollar, which has no value in Scotland, so young duck has been tricked. That’s why he’s started to reckon seriosly about a work, earning money and to be hard biznes-duck. Howover, he’s question to be richest duck appeared a tinier further, in USA I Believe. This right tale, from comic book, which is really talk to me, more than this serial version.

  • Notebooked says:

@Hasselberg666 Well, he later clarifies that in the exchange between Gladstone and Scrooge. “So your fortune was based on a lucky charm after all!”
“Nonsense! I earned it through blood, sweat and tears!”
so maybe he just meant that the dime marked the point where he started working harder?

I like it when Gladstone doesn’t have luck! It’s so amusing to see!

  • Malco2245 says:

  • alishashaan says:

  • aardbeiify says:

  • alishashaan says:

now this is crazy, first magick gilr was tall, then she turned into a witch, then she got tall and is still a witch, and now she is SMALL AGAIN!

she is like alma, small, then tall, at random times

  • alishashaan says:

  • happycassielove says:

    “Beam me up, Scottie!”

  • AmuroRei89 says:

  • BraeDoktor says:

someone i dont know where wubbas brainstorm is help

  • TomChavez says:

Ducko De Janeiro. if i’m right, the voice actor of Gladstone later on is a character known as José Carioca in a House of Mouse series and José is from Rio De Janeiro. I wonder if it is coincidence?

  • EHH246 says:

    I’m sure he has.

  • Lonestar327 says:

If he’s so lucky why doesnt he just play the Duckburg Lotto?

  • MrSpaniard1989 says:

I am aware of that fact, but it does look more goose than duck due to his pointy beak and taller height. I questioned Don Rosa about this, and he told me he is a goose due to his last name.

  • sodapoppana says:

Yea well in fact gladstone is half duck half goose. But I guess you’re aptly, or then it could just be the luckiest man.

  • MrSpaniard1989 says:

It ticks me off how people reckon Gladstone Gander is a duck or call him “The luckiest duck in the world”. Gladstone is visibly a goose in view of the fact that the term gander means male goose. Plus, Gladstone is taller than the ducks and Gladstone’s bill is pointy, slightly shorter, and more triangular. Better exchange it to Luckiest goose/gander in the world

  • Corridoamor says:

I know that Donald’s mother was Hortense McDuck, who was the sister of Scrooge McDuck. Hortense is where Donald got his terrible temper according to the comics.

  • jillrg23 says:

Right all. Gladstone is Donald’s cousin (Gladstone’s mother is the sister of Donald’s member of the clergy). Donald’s mother was Scrooge’s sister, so Gladstone and Scrooge are related by her marriage to Elvira Coot’s son.

  • Corridoamor says:

Also, Scrooge is the splendid-uncle of Huey, Dewey and Louie while Donald is just ‘uncle’.

  • Corridoamor says:

I do not see how Gladstone fits into the picture but I can guess that he is a grandson of Elvira Coot. It seems as if Huey, Dewey, and Louie are splendid-grandchildren of Elvira and they are the splendid-splendid- granchildren of Clinton Coot, which would make them the splendid-splendid-splendid grandchildren of the founder of Duckburg, Cornelius Coot, if my facts are straight.

  • DrClay999 says:

I had this episode on my VHS tape, along with the Time Teasers episode ^^

  • jillrg23 says:

Well, it’s right. Said in the Barks comic Race to the South Seas and shown on Don Rosa’s Duck family tree, not to mention several Rosa tales like The Invader of Fort Duckburg.
