Can you answer my duck questions?

1.what do you need to raise a duck from 2weeks old
2.what there diet should be
3.how much water they need
4.how walking can they take till they have to be lifted
5.what is the best quite and small duck
6.how quite is a pekin duck
7.can i put a cat collar on them for me to no there names
8.can they be put in with rabbits for playtime
9.do they get gelouse of other animals
10.do they need toys
11.will they follow you even if you got them at a later age
12.any other helpfull tips or answers on keeping,feeding,playing,and other needs

any othere wise comments on keeping ducks indoors.
please dont send stuff like im crazy or i didnt even no ducks can be put indoors

other info or stories from other duck owners would be nice to thanks alot.

I am going to try and make this for Thanksgiving for my family in addition to a small regular cooked turkey for those who are not so brave. But I DO NOT want to buy one, I want to attempt at making one and here are my biggest concerns. (also, please let me know of anything else to be wary of when making this that I have not thought of)
1.) I don’t want the Turkey meat especially to get dried out, what can I do to 100% prevent that. I know it can be done because if you buy a Turducken (from what I’ve heard) after cooking it at home, it’s very moist. What can I do to make sure it’s not dry, it’s obviously possible?
2.) Me and my family are not too big into stuffing with the turkey, so can I cook a Turducken with no stuffing or anything inside of is?
3.) And I’ve heard a big down fall of the Turducken is the duck. Duck is known for it’s crispy-when-cooked skin, but after cooking this way, of course it comes out flabby, fatty and almost inedible. Can I brown/crisp/sear it up in a pan (just the outside) before putting it inside the turkey, or will that not help either.
Please oh please, I just want to make something good and contribute something GOOD to the table for once. Plus, some family were uneasy with trying this Turducken anyways, and I don’t want their first taste to be yucky and a bad representation of the “dish”! Any advice, tips, soultions, and experiences would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much!

Hey, i’m by no means the worlds best cook, far from infact, but i’m doing dinner for 3 friends tomorrow night.

Theres only really one specific requirement – its not to be tomato based.

I’m doing duck pancakes for the starter but its the main i really need some tips on… I want to do stuffed peppers, i read a recipe with couscous and lemon grass, anybody have anything similar? If not whats a good cheap alternative, still based on the the couscous.

Finally would stuffed peppers go well with mussels, salad and parsnip crisps? or is that all a bit random?

What can i do to piece it all together into one amazing meal? I’m out to impress as i’ve (wrongly) been labelled as the microwave meal guy and want to show them all i DO and CAN cook! : )

I am 16, and I need advise about my mother. I am not trying to talk down about her, everything I am saying is the truth, and the way I feel.

My mom told me that she was abused by my grandmother, but I always remember her being the most loving person i the world. Even to my mom. So I am not sure if I should beliver her. But she always told me when I was little that she never wants to be anything like my grandma. but in my eyes, she is worse then any story I have heard abut her.

She is a very 2faced person. When my boyfriend is here, she will say “Rachel, your 16! Go out of the house! Have fun!” But when I ask her, she yells at me and says that all I do is think about myself, and I never do anything to help her. But I do! I clean the house (exept her room and bathroom), feed all the animals(dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, rats, turtles, birds,fish and ducks) cook for the family, clean up her messes and more. I do not understand why she does not see anything that I do! And If I forget something, like a rabbits water, she takes my phone, and grownds me for a week!

I do not feel like i can talk to her about ANYTHING. She does not know me at all. When she does cook, she makes food that I can not eat, so I end up not eating that day.And when she goes shopping, all she gets is ice cream and yogurt. She lays in bed all day and eats. And then she gets mad that my boyfriend brings me food. And when she sees that, she yells and says that he is pus*sy whipped.

She always calls me lazy, and dirty, and says that I do not do anything around the house or for anybody else.

Last night, we went to best buy, and she bought a big, flat screen tv, tivo, and more for her new room. And she just looked at me, and said… and I am not lying “you can have the old sh*t. you dont deserve anything nice.”

One day she will tell me that she loves me more then anything in the world, and the next she will slap me, and tell me I am worthless. This has been going on science i was 5. We used to get into PHYSICAL fights. We both have scars from eachother, and when ever anybody rases their hand, I flinch. She always tells me that she is a good mom, but I am just the bad daughter. I am not going to say that i have not dont anything to her, i have yelled at her (but dosent every 16 year old). but thats all. She chaces me to my room, corners me, and says that if I say anything to her, she will rip the ring out of my lip and other stuff. And she always calls me fat. I wear a size 5 pants, and she MAKES me buy size 11. and size small shirts (medium sometimes becuse of my chest) and she makes me get a large. She makes me feel hoibal about myself. I actually cry myself to sleep, at 16 because of her.

Even when I am out of the house, she makes me come home at 10 on weeknights, and 12 on weekends, and if I am 2 minutes late, I am grounded for 2 days. I dont knkow what to do.

I have tried talking to her, and nothing works, she yells and says “well you will be 18 soon, so you can get the f**K out of this da*n house, and live yourlife without me! I am a darn good mom!” and walks away.

She never listens to anything I have to say. and I feel like I am just a slave in her house. something to clean, and cook.

How can I talk to my mom withought her getting mad? an effective way. I can not live like this for the next year and 6 months. Yes, I am counting down untill I can get out of here. My boyfriend already has a place for me to live when i am 18. (ohh.. any she tells me that she will call the cops on me if i try to move out when i am 18, and she will have me sent to jail)

I can not live like this. I feel worse and worse everyday. I need to talk to her, and i need things to change. I would live with my dad, but he has his own family, and I do not want to partude, adn i would miss all my friends and my animals.

PLEASE GIVE ME IDEAS ON HOW I CAN CHANGE THE WAY THINGS ARE IN MY HOUSE. I REALLY NEED THINGS TO CHANGE.

I have taken her to the vet countless times – she even has a dermatologist. She has been on special diets to eliminate food allergies. She has been on shots for almost a year and a half now. She’s been on Atopica and other steroids countless times… even the medicated shampoos such as ChlorhexiDerm isn’t working! We are giving Skin Eze tablets to her twice a day, but I’m still not seeing any improvement. Due to this diet that she’s on (cooked duck mixed with duck and potato kibbles) she is LOSING weight and is becoming too thin. I just don’t know what else to do for her about her scratching. Does anybody know what to do? I just want to give her some relief and see her without a shirt for once.

P.S. – I have had her checked many times for fleas, mites, etc. They found nothing of the sort on her.

i have a few questions.My duck laid some eggs but i dont know when they were laid. i never incubated them. i tried candling them but i couldnt see through. is it still alive? or hatchable? and is it too late to start incubating the eggs? if not then how to?

I intend to serve the family duck legs for Xmas. I need a recipe for a light, not too spicy marinade.

I used to serve a whole duck stuffed with oranges, thyme and rosemary, but got sick of the fights over who gets a leg. I also want to do something different from orange-flavoured.

Anybody have an idea on how to cook the duck legs?

I would like to have the legs brown and crispy. And nothing too Asian please or my family will kill me – they already pulled faces at the idea of duck with oranges.

I like the idea of cherry preserves, but I am not sure whether I would get the skin crispy that way. Could I use jam?

What about glazing the the legs with honey? Anybody have some recipes for this?

So a mother duck laid ONE baby duck egg in our pool, and it’s kind of cold outside. Can I take it in? I was going to put it into a cage with comfortable flooring and a heat lamp on it.

But is there a reason the motehr duck won’t sit on the egg?
and if i DO take it in, what should i feed it??

We have a tarp on our pool, and it was laid on the TARP. not in the middle of the pool.

Hi I have a few questions about pet ducks?
I have cats in my neighborhood so can you keep ducks inside?
Do they poop everywhere?
Can they live in a big cage and then swim in bathtubs?
Are they nice? (I know all animals are different!)
